Welcome to C-CIARN Ontario

The Ontario branch of the Canadian Climate Impacts and Adaptation Research Network is one of thirteen regions and sectors dedicated to improving our knowledge of climate change impacts and to identifying appropriate adaptation measures.

Laurentian University in Sudbury hosts the coordinating office of C-CIARN Ontario, funded by the Government of Canada through the Federal Impacts and Adaptation Research Program and the Ontario Ministry of the Environment.

C-CIARN Ontario is continuingly developing and managing a science-oriented communications network that engages researchers and stakeholders interested in climate change impacts and adaptations in Ontario. The Network will:

  • assist in identifying and promoting research priorities
  • provides policy and decision makers with credible information on the vulnerabilities of Ontario to climate change

We are in the process of building this network. Add your name to our growing list of researchers and stakeholders involved in climate change impacts and adaptation issues.
